Located in the heart of Monmouthshire on our family run dairy farm, Blackberry Event Catering provides delicious, homemade food for every occasion, including these wonderful cakes and bakes.

Kate has worked in catering for the last 20 years for other people but after having had three children, that was no longer practical!  Her family has a dairy farm in Llanishen, near Trellech, so they converted a building into a catering kitchen and have worked there for the last three years.  She is really passionate about supporting local farmers and producers and providing delicious, high quality food, sourcing as many local and homegrown ingredients as possible.

They come as individually wrapped cakes, in a cardboard base and wrapped in polymer bags which are fully biodegradable, biodegrading into carbon dioxide,water,biomass and minerals. They are also recyclable (LDPE). Kate uses heat sealing to avoid any further plastic, sticky seals.

Kate holds a 5 star hygiene rating.

Rich Chocolate Cake – A moist chocolate sponge topped with a creamy, chocolate frosting and chunks of white and milk chocolate.

Ingredients: Sugar, Self-Raising Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, Raising Agents: Sodium Carbonates, Calcium Phosphates), Sunflower Oil, Egg, Cocoa Powder, Cornflour, Chocolate Icing (Sugar, Rapeseed Oil, Milk Chocolate Crumb (Milk, Sugar, Cocoa Mass), Milk Powder, Cocoa, Whey Powder (Milk), Emulsifiers: Sunflower Lecithin).

Allergens – gluten, eggs and milk

 

Lemon Drizzle Cake – A luscious lemon sponge drenched in a zingy glaze made with fresh lemon juice.

 

Ingredients: Sugar, Self-Raising Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, Raising Agents: Sodium Carbonates, Calcium Phosphates), Sunflower Oil, Egg, Cornflour, Icing Sugar, Lemon Juice.

Light Fruit Cake – My Granny Ruby’s recipe!  A lightly spiced cake packed with juicy raisins and sultanas and locally foraged apples and pears.

Ingredients: Self Raising Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, Raising Agents: Sodium Carbonates, Calcium Phosphates), Butter (Milk, salt), Brown Sugar, Egg, Mixed Spice (Cinnamon, Coriander Seed, Nutmeg, Clove, Pimento, Ginger), Sultanas (Sunflower Oil), Raisins (Sunflower Oil), Apple, Pear.

Sticky Toffee Cake with Caramel Buttercream – The cake version of the pudding!  A squidgy, date sponge finished with a caramel buttercream.

Ingredients: Self Raising Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, Raising Agents: Sodium Carbonates, Calcium Phosphates), Butter (Milk, salt), Brown Sugar, Egg, Dates (Sunflower Oil), Caramel Icing (Butter (Milk, salt), Icing Sugar, Caramel (Whole Milk, Sugar).

Carrot Cake – A definite favourite, packed with fresh carrots and pecans and topped off with a light, lemony frosting

Ingredients: Self Raising Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, Raising Agents: Sodium Carbonates, Calcium Phosphates), Sunflower Oil, Brown Sugar, Egg, Mixed Spice (Cinnamon, Coriander Seed, Nutmeg, Clove, Pimento, Ginger), Icing Sugar, Butter (Milk, salt), Lemon Juice, Pecans (Nuts).

6” Victoria Sponge – A classic, light vanilla sponge filled with buttercream and raspberry jam

Ingredients: Sugar, Self-Raising Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, Raising Agents: Sodium Carbonates, Calcium Phosphates), Sunflower Oil, Egg, Cornflour, Buttercream Icing (Butter (milk), Icing Sugar, Lemon Juice) Raspberry Jam (Glucose-fructose syrup, Raspberries, Sugar Acidity regulators (Citric acid, sodium citrates), Gelling Agent (pectins).

Triple Chocolate Brownie (Packs of 4) – A rich delight of dark, milk and white chocolate – need I say more!

Ingredients:  Plain Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Butter (Milk, Salt), Egg, Chocolate (Cocoa mass 54%, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Soya Lecithin), White Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Whey Powder (Milk), Soya Lecithin, Vanilla Extract).

Welsh Cakes (Packs of 8) – Who can resist these sweet, buttery cakes?  Traditionally baked for you on a griddle iron and dusted in cinnamon sugar.
