How does Little Green Refills source its products creating minimal waste?

In line with our ethos, the products that we stock are bought in bulk from a co-operative wholesaler and almost all are supplied to us in recyclable containers. When we receive our deliveries the supplier collects the empty containers or boxes and, where possible, recycles them.

Our bottles are 100% recyclable glass. If you return your bottles to us they will be reused by us. We also work alongside some local cafes collecting their empty glass drinks bottles (which would otherwise go straight to recycling) and use these for our refills too.

Have you considered the environmental impact of deliveries?

Absolutely! We chose to offer a delivery service to make the option of reducing plastics in your home more accessible to our community. Our vision includes the purchase of an electric van but obviously this depends on the growth of the business.

There are ways that you can help …. if you have a group of friends who are ordering, or know there are a few people on your street or in your village or workplace, why not group your orders together? You can order separately but we can deliver to either one address or a community hub near to you. Not only will this reduce your delivery charge but will also make a huge difference to our carbon footprint.

We have a number of "helpers" who have so kindly offered to collect bottles and drop off orders at Collection Points as they drive there anyway, so no extra mileage incurred.

Where are the Community Collection Points?

Yes, excluding glass, most items can be posted within the UK. Please email your order and we can invoice you with the correct postage charge. No minimum order value applies.

Is there any commitment involved?

The answer is No! Your first order will include a £10 deposit to cover the cost of the glass bottles. If you choose not to re-order from us and return the bottles in their original condition your deposit will be fully refunded.

Where are you based?

We are based in Abergavenny and currently deliver over most of Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Newport and Caerleon, Hay & Brecon.  We are expanding.  We are also in lots of regular markets (see our calendar page for details). Look out for us at local events where we hope to have pop up stalls.

What if a product I want is not on your website?

Please do let us know. We are constantly looking for new products to supply and would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations. We will update the website, Facebook page and send a newsletter when new products are added.

Do you sterilise the bottles?

Absolutely, all bottles are washed at 70 degrees and fully dried before being kept in clean boxes. We do this with new bottles and between each refill.

Are you insured?

We are insured by Commercial Express with public liability cover up to 5 million pounds and product liability cover up to 5 million pounds.

What happens if I'm out when you deliver?

You do not need to be in for your delivery, just let us know a safe place to leave your order. Most people are happy for us to leave on the doorstep just like the milkman, or if you would like to leave a secure/weather proof container we can leave your order in there.

I think I am outside of your delivery area, can I still order from you?

Please do contact us and we will do our best to accommodate wherever possible.
